Share Your Story

We always look for the best ways to allow you a safe platform for sharing your birth stories and experiences, honoring your personal desire of publicity or privacy.  Right now, you can share your story in a more private way by sending a message to our facebook page, or emailing (stories and/or photos) Heidi.Faith@stillbirthday.com.

Sign Our Baby Name Book

The legacy of our children isn’t done yet.

This is a private way to simply share your beloved babies’ names to be included in our annual Hearts Release.

Sharing More Openly

We have a few ways you can share your story in a more public capacity: as a comment on our Sharing post, or in our sharing group on facebook.

-As a comment here on stillbirthday, our team can format your writing into its own individual posting for publication on our website.  Once your story is published, it will have its own unique URL for further sharing, if you choose.

-From within the sharing group, the conversation will be more open as we all can chat together in the group.

She was a genius of sadness, immersing herself in it, separating its numerous strands, appreciating its subtle nuances. She was a prism through which sadness could be divided into its infinite spectrum.

— Jonathan Safran Foer, Everything Is Illuminated

No one ever told me that grief felt so like fear.

— C.S. Lewis, A Grief Observed

I am strong.

— January, founder of Birth Without Fear

When someone you love dies, and you’re not expecting it, you don’t lose her all at once; you lose her in pieces over a long time—the way the mail stops coming, and her scent fades from the pillows and even from the clothes in her closet and drawers. Gradually, you accumulate the parts of her that are gone. Just when the day comes—when there’s a particular missing part that overwhelms you with the feeling that she’s gone, forever—there comes another day, and another specifically missing part.

— John Irving, A Prayer for Owen Meany

They say time heals all wounds, but that presumes the source of the grief is finite.

— Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Prince
