Wife to an army veteran  and mommy to 4 kids who I hold in my arms and 15 kids I hold in my heart. Originally from Maryland. My passion in life is children. Have been a pre K teacher for many years but since my  high risk pregnancy with my most recent rainbow, I am now a stay at home mommy. I lost my first child at 19.6weeks in 2001, Jennyfur Angel. Shortly after she grew her wings, I became pregnant with my oldest child. Throughout the following years, I became pregnant many times, giving birth to my two daughters and suffering multiple miscarriages. In 2009 I met my now husband. In 2010 we suffered a miscarriage at 8 weeks. followed by two ectopic pregnancies in 2011 and 2012. In Jan 2013 we found out we were yet again, pregnant. After a very strenuous, high risk pregnancy, our rainbow was born Sep 7, 2013 at 38 weeks.  Since than I decided to have a tubal ligation, making my 4 living children, the only children I will hold in my arms.   During my pregnancy, I found support through a fellow SBD Doula, and a local Doula, Thats when I knew… this was the path I was meant to lead! God gave me my trails and tribulations to mold me into a SBD Doula so that I can provide support and compainonship to those who need it the most.

Along with providing local support, I am always open to providing support online, via email to anyone going through perinatal loss or a rainbow pregnancy.

Miscarriages are labor, miscarriages are birth. To consider them less dishonors the woman whose womb has held life, however briefly.

— Kathryn Miller Ridiman

Death borders upon our birth, and our cradle stands in the grave.

— Joseph Hall

Even at our birth, death does but stand aside a little. And every day he looks towards us and muses somewhat to himself whether that day or the next he will draw nigh.

— Robert Bolt

Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye.

— H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

The road to the sacred leads through the secular.
