Location

  • We’re going to Wyoming!Two meeting options:

9am – Chapel of Transfiguration – Moose, WY

1pm – Bondurant Basin Outfitters – Bondurant, WY

Date – August! Saturday, Aug 6

  • This is a special announcement!
Here are the reasons for our first August Hearts Release:
  • 01.) August is more authentic to stillbirthday. We were founded August 01, 2011.
02.) We are *finally* getting to a place where our awareness of Pregnancy & Infant Loss is steady, with the very earliest signs of bulging, even in the 31 day month of October. Y’all, this is very, very good. We’re doing this.
03.) I want to step out, and by doing so, I can personally have the space in my own Octobers to celebrate and champion all the local things you all are doing, and maybe even attend. I would so love that.
04.) The Hearts Release is always free to attend. Octobers become very prohibitive for people to travel into our location rather than being able to plan or participate in their local annual events. August allows more room for individuals, couples and families to travel if they’d like to. I really would like to hug you.
05.) This can open more travel opportunities for us as we organize the event, too, because August is generally a pretty steady weather month, and allows us to travel to places that might otherwise feel less inviting for visitors in early winter weather. One of the special elements of the Hearts Release is that it creates a kind of journal, tracking places all over where our babies have been honored, allowing us to build that into all future travel and trips.
06.) Stillbirthday is a trusted resource, and we can spread the word where we go about the upcoming October, which gives those newest to join our healing community time to plan for their own October awareness activities. And I will continue to handwrite our beloved babies’ names throughout October, in preparation of the next Hearts Release, and share the photos IN October, from our Hearts Release from that year.
07.) Stillbirthday will hold our very first August Hearts Release in our 11th year. Again, I feel that this very early bulging into more space is important. We’ve had one full decade together, and this feels like a special, meaningful time to stretch out and declare that we who are healing are worth more than one isolated month.
08.) This announcement is early enough so you can start to pencil it in, that August 2022 will be our first, newest Hearts Release. I will have the exact location and the exact date to share with you over the next several weeks. I can tell you we’re aiming for early August, possibly **the first weekend of the month.**
09.) I remember the feeling when I first launched stillbirthday, and shared it with the world. It crossed all thresholds. There was even just a morsel of warm bread and sip of cool water there for all of us. I mean it most sincerely, that exact same feeling wells inside me and I long to keep sharing that with you. I hope so very much that trying this out just this first year, will reflect how much that feeling, and you, mean to me.
10.) The incredible Sierra Pearl Photography will be there, capturing the event. The photos in this post are from her, from our 2021 Hearts Release.
I’ll have the first post inviting you to share your beloved babies’ names with me, on our stillbirthday fb page, very soon. It is always free to share your beloved babies names to be handwritten onto teeny, degradable paper hearts that later can grow into flowers.

Include Your Beloved Babies

I have already begun handwriting the names of our beloved babies onto teeny paper hearts for this year’s Hearts Release.  Please visit our facebook page for the posts inviting you to share your beloved babies’ names, or use the comment feature here to share your babies’ names with me to be handwritten onto teeny paper hearts for our Hearts Release.

Colors & Theme

Every Hearts Release has its own special theme.  This year we’re drawing from the colors that others outside of our community often turn to for gender neutrality.  When they don’t know what gender their baby will be, they use yellow & green.  We believe yellow & green will be pretty in the scenic place we’ll be in Wyoming.

Attend  |  Background

It is always free to include your babies’ names, and if you are able, it is free to attend.  Each year we release the Hearts in a different location, in a very simple, humble gesture to honor our beloved babies and our journey in healing.

Feel welcome to purchase a tee shirt if you’d like.  They came out awesome!
